Have you repaired a ball mark lately?

Non-Repaired Ball Mark

As the weather breaks and the sun begins to show its face, so does non-repaired ball marks. Golf rounds are increasing and morning walk throughs by the golf course maintenance staff are interrupted by the amazement of the non-repaired ball marks. I recently read an article that a golfer asked a golf course superintendent, “I always fix my ball mark and plus three others every green, how are there still non-repaired ball marks?”  The answer is, we all have to do our part and take pride in the golf course and encourage fellow members to take part in repairing ball marks and repairing them correctly.

Soon in every cart there will be an illustration and description of the proper procedures for repairing ball marks.

I will say the membership has done a great job filling fairway divots. Year to date we have used over 25 tons of sand, filling divots on the course. Great Job!!
