Educational Requirements:    Currently enrolled in Turfgrass management program or related field of study.

Salary:                                        Competitive hourly wage + Overtime

Job Description:

Interns will work one on one with the superintendent and assistant learning how to properly calibrate and apply pesticides/fertilizers, operate all equipment, routine golf course set up, detailed bunker maintenance, and irrigation repair and maintenance. The primary focus of the internship will be the day to day operations that are required to successfully operate a private golf maintenance program, other activities will include aerification, basic mechanical operations, budgetary reviews, and leading small project crews. Candidates should possess a positive attitude, have a strong work ethic, detail oriented, and have the willingness to learn.

Course Information:

Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club is a private member owned facility operated by Club Corp. Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club was built in 1951 and designed by Robert Bruce Harris. Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club has hosted many events such as, USGA 4-ball Qualifier, TGA State Amateur Qualifier.
